Ian Mankin Fabrics are made in Lancashire and is a sixth generation family weaving business run by the great-great-great grandson of the original founders. Based in Burnley, which was the centre of the industrial cotton industry, the mill is the last remaining traditional cotton weaver in a town that in the late 1920's boasted over 100,000 looms.
Their products can genuinely be labelled as ''Made in Britain''. Committed to preserving traditional crafts and skills in the unique industrial landscape in which they reside.
Fibres used include cotton, linen, polyester, viscose, wool, acrylic, silk and many others. Plains, stripes, checks and more complicated jacquard designs are possible with their modern and extensive collection of machines.
